Olympus – Exodus Escape Room

Olympus was a couple of firsts for our family. It was the first room where we wore matching shirts! Just some shirts we got off of Amazon and used AI to design, but they were cut enough and cheap, haha. It’s also the first time we finished a room in under 30 minutes as a family!

Olympus is a Greek themed escape room with mostly high tech puzzles and special effects. I think the effects were super cool in this room and the theming and story was great. The first room is non-linear as you try to solve puzzles for multiple gods, and then the room gets more linear as you make it further in. Overall, I thought the puzzles were well executed, and both the puzzles and themes flowed well together as you descend from Olympus into Hades to retrieve your prize.

The only knock I have on this room is how linear it gets in the end, with a final puzzle being basically a two person job and everyone else watching, as it’s a fairly long puzzle. Some might say this room is easy, but I think it’s also just a symptom of how well designed and intuitive it is. We did in 27 minutes, but the leaderboard had someone who did in 23 minutes in 4th place! So if you’re an enthusiast, set your expectations.

I’d still definitely recommend doing this room, as even though it was short, it was a great, high quality experience.

Big Bro: My favorite puzzle was finding all the stuff in the rooms, because I’m the scout!
